The role of Marketing in Towers Watson is two-fold: to support the company's growth and revenue goals and to protect and promote a consistent global brand. As trusted business advisors, the marketing group functions as an integrated global team providing comprehensive marketing support to all business segments and regions.

THE ROLE


The role is a two part roleto serve as the Divisional Marketing Manager for the Central Division and to serve as the Marketing Manager for the Chicago/Milwaukee markets. The divisional marketing manager serves as the key liaison in connecting Divisional marketing activities to the national agenda. This position is responsible for ensuring consistency of messaging, delivery of marketing vehicles, and overall people management of the team in the Central Division. In the capacity of Divisional Marketing manager this individual will be accountable to the Central Division Leader. As the Chicago/Milwaukee manager, this individual will be responsible for understanding the marketing needs in the Greater Chicago market, connecting those needs to the national and divisional marketing agendas as necessary, and managing the local marketing staff. In the capacity of Chicago/Milwaukee Marketing manger this individual will be accountable to the Chicago/Milwaukee Managing Consultant and will work closely with the local Client Development Group.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

Excellence
- Work with Marketing Director and local market leadership teams on topics, content and focus to leverage national activities (and other divisional activities)
- Identify the right marketing mix that leverages national and local activities that will: - Build consistent TW brand awareness - Introduce/reinforce awareness of TW services and capabilities
- Full accountability and oversight of execution of divisional plan
- Collaborate with Chicago leadership on strategy and ensure their full support on local plan
- Oversight of local events and implement follow-up activities
- Full accountability and oversight on all local sales and marketing tools and databases
- Identify and foster relationships with appropriate 3rd party associations at the local level
- Identify and target local press opportunities
- Create internal awareness of key initiatives
- Provide sales support and tracking records


People
- Lead and effectively manage a team consisting of local marketing managers and coordinators
- Identify work/project priorities for self and others and develop work plans based on allocated resources
- Collaborate with business developers and a variety of business segment leaders to develop and manage sales and marketing campaigns and events (both client and/or internal) and conduct training on internal processes like the Towers Watson Client Information System (CIS)
- Build relationships internally and cross segment to effectively channel marketing objectives in local market

Clients
- Deliver superior and consistent project management for a variety of client facing events
- Conduct competitor or client research as needed to support various sales activities, and use this information to help local leadership evaluate market potential and drive TMO revenue
- Assist with the account planning process for high potential clients through the use of market knowledge, research, and database management

Financial
- Develop and manage divisional and local marketing budgets
- Provide analysis and insights into marketing activities and related costs and their perceived return on investments
- Prepare and deliver FY11 marketing plan and strategy for local office in tandem with managing consultants and divisional leaders

THE REQUIREMENTS


- 8+ years of marketing or sales experience, preferably in a professional services and/or human resources consulting environment
- Action oriented, results focused and ability to effectively multitask
- Experience writing and editing business development materials, as well as proficiency working with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and database solutions in order to support client relationship management
- Strategic and tactical marketing experience, with specific emphasis on marketing planning execution and project management
- Ability to function well in a fast paced ambiguous environment
- Outstanding written and verbal presentation skills
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills and the ability to present issues and resolutions in a persuasive manner
- Strong client relationship, interpersonal, and team skills
- Ability to see the big picture, leveraging the resources of related practices to address issues
- Strong organizational skills, with ability to prioritize numerous tasks and complete them properly under time constraints

THE ROLE:

As the ICG Leader for the Chicago office, you will be responsible for leading a team of over 20 associates, managing the P&L, developing new business and driving marketing efforts in the Chicago marketplace. THE ROLE:

The AIS Investment Analyst will be responsible for managing client portfolio risk by quantifying risk exposure and monitoring compliance with performance objectives. REQUIREMENTS:

- Demonstrated success or strong evidence of the ability to generate new business, including proven ability to sell consulting projects
- 10+ years of experience in design, execution and management of organization effectiveness, talent management, and leadership effectiveness services, ideally gained in both recognized consulting and corporate environments having HR effectiveness and talent management expertise is a plus
